FOR THE GLAZE
Place the strawberries in a small coliseum and crushStir in the powdered sugar and milk. ladle over the cooled chuck Let stand for 30 twinkles or until the glaze sets before serving.
Notes
Depending on how juicy the strawberries are, you may need to increase the powdered sugar or just forget the milk. The glaze should be thick.
Don’t skip tossing the strawberries in flour. The flour will make sure the strawberries do n’t sink to the bottom of the loaf visage. You can also save a many strawberries to sprinkle on the top of the batter in the visage.
Avoid opening the oven door to check on the chuck while itbakes. However, the cool air from the kitchen will rush in, and you risk the middle of the chuck collapsing, If you open the roaster.
Avoid overmixing the batter, as it ’ll make the strawberry chuck tough and leathery.
Use a scale to measure your flour. This will yield the most accurate resultsstill, if you do n’t have a scale, fluff your flour with a ladle and also ladle it into your mugs before leveling it off with a cutter. This system is the stylish way to measure flour without overpacking the measuring mugleading to a heavy loaf.
Did you run out of strawberries to make the glaze? Try my cream rubbish frosting for a succulent volition.
