Salted Caramel Banana Bread

INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9×5 baking dish.
    2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Put aside.
    3. In a large bowl, cream together the brown sugar and butter, then add the eggs one at a time.
    4. Add cream, mashed bananas and vanilla to the sugar mixture and stir until smooth.

    1. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until well combined. Do not exaggerate.
    2. Pour the cake into the prepared pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. While the bread is cooling, prepare the glaze.

    1. In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter and bring to a boil over medium heat. Continue cooking until sugar is completely dissolved, about 1 minute.
    2. Add the cream and remove the pan from the heat. Add powdered sugar and salt and mix until smooth.
    3. Allow the glaze to cool for 5 minutes before pouring it onto the bread.
