Praline Popcorn is a delicious and addictive treat that combines the taste of caramelized sugar, crunchy popcorn and toasted nuts. INGREDIENTS

    • 8 cups popcorn (plain or lightly salted)
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar

    • 1/2 cup butter
    • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon corn extract vanilla
    • 1.5 cups pecans, halved

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 120°C and line a large baking tray with baking paper or a silicone mat.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a gentle boil.Cook for 4-5 minutes without stirring.

3. Remove the pan from the heat and carefully add the baking powder and vanilla extract. The mixture will start to foam, so be careful.
4.Place popcorn and pecans in a large bowl. Pour the praline mixture over the popcorn and pecans. Mix gently.
5. Spread the popcorn and pecans evenly on the prepared baking sheet.

6. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes to ensure an even coating.

7. As soon as the popcorn is cooked and the praline is crispy, take it out of the oven and let it cool completely on the tray. It gets even harder as it cools.
8. Break the praline popcorn into bundles and store in an airtight container.
