INGREDIENTS
- 400 g Maria cookies or digestive biscuits
- 500 ml milk
- 200 g sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
- 200 g butter at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons cocoa (optional)
- Decorations of your choice (chocolate chips, nuts). , fruit, etc.)
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place milk, sugar and vanilla essence in a large bowl. Mix well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
2. Add the room temperature butter and mix until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
3. If you want a chocolate version, add the cocoa and mix until well combined.
4. Take a spring or a mold suitable for cooling and start assembling the dough. Start by placing a layer of cookies on the bottom of the mold so that it covers the entire surface.
5. Pour a layer of the milk and butter mixture over the cookies, making sure they are completely covered. Repeat this process, alternating layers and mixing the cookies until the ingredients are used up.
6. Cover the cake with a pie crust and decorate the top with your favorite toppings, such as chocolate chips, nuts or fresh fruit.
7. Cover the dough with cling film or a lid and let it rest in the fridge for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, so that the cookies soften and reach a perfect consistency.
