For the dough:

    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar

    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 cup shortening
    • 2 eggs (separated)

  • 1/2 cup milk

For the filling:

    • 2 cups cornflakes
    • 10 apples ( peeled and chopped)

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

For brushing:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3 teaspoons water
