INGREDIENTS
- 1 pound (450 g) Spicy Pork Sausage
- 1 pound (450 g) Ground Beef
- 2 cups grated Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup grated Monterey Jack Cheese
- 1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles (e.g. Rotel), undrained
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 (10.75 oz) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Tortilla chips or crackers for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large skillet, cook hot pork sausages and ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. When frying, remember to break the meat into small pieces. Drain off excess fat.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked sausage and beef with shredded cheddar cheese, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, diced tomatoes and green chiles (including juice), thickened cream of mushroom soup, thickened cream of chicken, chopped onions, and chopped green peppers. , garlic powder and ground black pepper. Mix everything until you get a well-blended mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking pan or similar baking dish.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C for about 30-35 minutes or until the sauce is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly browned on the surface.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the Cheesy Hissy Fit Dip with tortilla chips or your favorite crackers for dipping.
