For the cake:

 

 

 

2 cups all-purpose flour

 

1 cup brown sugar, packed

 

1 cup milk

 

2/3 cup butter, softened

 

2 large eggs

 

1 tablespoon baking powder

 

2 teaspoons vanilla

 

1/4 teaspoon salt
