Description

A quick, budget-friendly, and flavorful stir-fry with tender beef, crisp cabbage, garlic, and soy-based sauce. Perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb flank steak or ground beef

1 small head green cabbage, shredded

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tsp cornstarch

2 garlic cloves, minced

1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

2 tbsp vegetable oil

Optional: chili flakes or sriracha

Instructions

  1. Marinate beef in soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.

  2. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok. Add garlic and ginger, stir for 30 seconds.

  3. Add beef, stir-fry until browned. Remove and set aside.

  4. Add cabbage to the skillet, stir-fry 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.

  5. Return beef to pan, add oyster sauce, and toss well.

Adjust seasoning and serve hot with rice or noodles.

Notes

Use napa cabbage for a softer texture.
For extra flavor, top with sesame seeds or scallions.
Make it spicy by adding chili paste.
