Description

This Savory Garlic Chicken & Broccoli Stir Fry with Soy Sauce Glaze is a quick, flavorful, and healthy weeknight dinner. Tender chicken bites are coated in a luscious soy-honey glaze and paired with crisp-tender broccoli, sautéed garlic, and fresh ginger. Bursting with umami flavor and a hint of sweetness, this dish is perfect over steamed rice or noodles and comes together in just 25 minutes—restaurant-quality taste without the hassle!


Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

3 cups broccoli florets

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp fresh ginger, minced

3 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp rice vinegar

1 tsp cornstarch

2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil

Optional garnish: sliced green onions, sesame seeds


Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Toss chicken pieces with 1 tsp cornstarch and a pinch of salt. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  2. Sauté the vegetables: In the same pan, add remaining oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. Add broccoli and cook 2–3 minutes until crisp-tender.

  3. Make the soy glaze: In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, and 2 tbsp water. Pour over vegetables and simmer until thickened.

  4. Combine everything: Return chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly with the glaze.

 

Serve and garnish: Plate immediately over steamed rice or noodles. Top with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with firm tofu.
Adjust the honey for more or less sweetness according to your taste.
Perfect served with steamed rice, brown rice, or your favorite noodles.
