Who does n’t enjoy a hot canine? But numerous are so high in calories that I decided to tweak the traditional form. My healthy take on everyone’s favourite fast food is speckled with ketchup and mustard but uses low- fat funk bangers
and barters the usual fried onions for a succulent various slaw.
MAKES 2
4 funk bangers
1 small carrot, grated
¼ small red cabbage, grated
½ small red onion, veritably finely sliced
½ apple, grated
tbsp fat-free yoghurt
1 tbsp light mayonnaise
2 brioche hot- canine buns
2 tsp shop- bought crisp onions
mustard and tomato ketchup
Sea swab
lately ground black pepper
1. Preheat the roaster to 190 °C/ 170 °C Addict/ Gas 5 and cook the bangers
according to the packet instructions( around 20 – 25 twinkles).
2. Meanwhile, combine the carrot, cabbage, onion, apple, yoghurt and mayonnaise to make the slaw. Season with ocean swab and black pepper.
3. smoothly toast the hot- canine buns, also add two bangers
per hot canine, top with the slaw and crisp onions, also add a squeeze of mustard and ketchup.
