Ingredients
1 cup green tea (brewed and cooled)
1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
3 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
Juice of 1 lemon (about 2 tablespoons)
3 tablespoons gelatin powder
Optional: pinch of turmeric for added color and health benefits
Instructions
Prepare the Green Tea Base:
Brew a strong cup of green tea and let it cool to room temperature. Strain it if necessary to remove any tea leaves or particles.
Infuse the Ginger:
In a small saucepan, add the cooled green tea and grated ginger. Warm gently over low heat for about 3 minutes to infuse the flavor, then strain out the ginger.
Mix the Ingredients:
Add honey, lemon juice, and turmeric (if using) to the warm tea mixture. Stir until fully combined.
Bloom the Gelatin:
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over 3 tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
Incorporate the Gelatin:
Add the bloomed gelatin to the warm tea mixture and whisk until completely dissolved. Ensure the mixture is warm enough to melt the gelatin but not boiling.
Set the Gummies:
Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a lightly greased baking dish. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm.
Cut and Serve:
If using a baking dish, cut the set mixture into small cubes. Remove gummies from molds and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
