- 20 cherry or grape tomatoes
- 20 small fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
- Fresh basil leaves, about 20 pieces
- 1 small sprig of fresh rosemary (for garnish)
- 1–2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Toothpicks or small skewers
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Rinse and dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves. Pat the mozzarella balls dry with a paper towel.
- Assemble Skewers: Thread one cherry tomato, one basil leaf, and one mozzarella ball onto each toothpick. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Arrange into Tree Shape: On a flat serving platter, arrange the skewers in a triangular Christmas tree shape, starting with a wide base and tapering towards the top. Leave a little space at the top for the rosemary sprig.
- Decorate the Tree: Place the rosemary sprig at the top to resemble a star. Drizzle the balsamic glaze and olive oil over the “tree.” Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Serve: Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
